GreenSkills is an initiative of WPC Group, a not-for-profit Group Training Organisation (GTO) specialising in the employment, mentoring and training of apprentices and trainees. Established in Victoria in 1982, WPC Group is a leading National GTO with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Geelong. WPC Group employs more than 500 apprentices (apprentices and trainees) and works with more than 200 host employers across a broad range of industry sectors.

With a focus on providing training programs with a sustainability focus, WPC have created a new range of apprenticeship and traineeship programs for the green industry sector. Greenskills provides apprentices and trainees with the skills necessary to complement sustainable practice faced by industry and government. Considering climate change has become paramount in the way we live, work and do business.

As part of its core functions WPC has extremely close relationships with trainees, Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) and employers. It is perfectly positioned to address the needs of all three groups and to act as an interface between them.
