Green jobs are those that have a sustainability focus or operate in environmental sectors of the economy. Generally, green jobs implement environmentally conscious design, policy, and technology to improve conservation and sustainability. Now, thanks to WPC Group’s GreenSkills initiative, green collar workers also include trainees and apprentices who undertake work and vocational learning in some of, but not limited to, the following industry sectors:

  • Business and Administration
  • Conservation and Land Management
  • Water Industry Operations
  • Asset Maintenance and Waste
  • Horticulture
  • Renewable Energy
  • Sustainable Planning
  • Government (Local, State and Federal)

Please note: At the commencement of 2011 all trainee and apprentice training programs were required to contain modules that included a sustainability focus. Some courses provide a minimal sustainability component, some more than others. It is for this reason that the jobs listed below are also listed through our parent company, WPC Group and also the Shake a Leg – Indigenous employment program.
